MailHASH Safe mailto links
MailHASH offers a free, easy to use, easy to integrate, Javascript solution for mailto links. We all know the dangers of placing your e-mailaddress on a website regarding the huge ammount of spam that you will collect. MailHASH makes the e-mailaddress ineligible until it is actually clicked on.
Because the e-mailaddress is inserted as a javascript action, the browser used must support javascript. As most spiders/crawlers don't support javascript, it keeps most of them out. The spiders/crawlers that do follow Javascript could be on the list of 137 and be stopped that way. If they do get past, they will not be able to decode that hash as that is stored in a script that only we can get to.
