Where do we start? Years of frustration about the huge amount of spam coming into a public available e-mail address? That is basically why I came to this solution.
I often come across web forms for submitting information, but these are nothing like as flexible as I would like them to be and to many of them don't send you a copy of your message. So when you want to look back and find what you sent, you are left picking your brain looking for the answers. For me a reason to keep using the mailto: links.
As I already mentioned, public available e-mail address collect spam like there is no tomorrow. You can install all kinds of spam filters and scanners, but always you find stuff coming past them. MAILHASH offers a solution that hides the e-mail address from spiders and crawlers but still offers you the power of a mailto: link.
To help, the script knows over 125 spiders/crawlers and blocks these from calling the function and service that converts the hash into a mailto: link. This making it only possible for human users to convert the hash be clicking on the link.
Signing up is free, but as you might expect, the service does require resources. We offer you the opportunity to make a donation to us to keep the service as good as possible. Click here to donate.
